When we look underneath the heaviness of the noise called catastrophic thinking, we find true insight and wisdom on what to do next in any situation.

Insight and wisdom does not come from thought. Your brain is just a computer, a machine with an operating system that we think of as the ego. It glitches from time to time, innocently, and it will self-correct on its own even if we do nothing to try and fix our low mood, or our catastrophic thinking (fear, anxiety).

The good news is we are not our mind’s thinking. Our mind is conditioned to look outside of ourselves to blame why we feel this way. This is a common misunderstanding of how mind really works (from the inside/out) and we work as human beings.

When we deliberately try to fix our thinking we only add more thinking on top of our thinking which never works. When we deliberately try to quiet our mind, our mind makes the noise louder. Techniques (meditation, deep breathing, exercise etc.) may temporarily quiet your mind. But thinking always returns with 100% probability.
